OLM Food Solutions is currently searching for a data entry analyst to join our growing team!

Data entry analysts are responsible for entering data into a database or spreadsheet. Will work with large amounts of information that needs to be organized and formatted in a consistent way. Typically use specialized software to enter this information into the database, ensureing that it’s accurate and complete. 

Responsibilities: 

  • Reviewing data for accuracy, such as ensuring that financial transactions have been correctly posted to accounts.
  • Providing support to others within the organization by answering questions about data entry processes and procedure
  • Entering data into a computer system according to specified formats.
  • Creating reports based on collected data to present to management or other stakeholders
  • Performing clerical tasks such as typing, filing documents, and handling correspondence
  • Communicating with clients regarding their accounts, providing customer service, and resolving issues
  • Reviewing data to identify patterns or trends in order to make recommendations for business improvements
  • Maintaining data integrity by backing up files and storing them securely
  • Other duties as assigned.

Experience & Education

Education and/or Experience: Bachelor’s degree in a field such as computer science, information technology, business administration or a related discipline

Attention to detail: Must have excellent attention to detail to ensure the accuracy of the data entered. Identify and correct errors in data to ensure the integrity of the information and correct any data entry errors made by other employees.

Data analysis: Interpret data and find trends and patterns. Use this information to make recommendations for their company’s data storage, security and other processes. Use data analysis to create reports for the company’s stakeholders.

Communication: Work in teams with other data entry analysts, IT professionals and other employees in a company. Effective communication is important to ensure everyone understands each other and works together to achieve a common goal. Addtionally communicate with clients and other people outside the company to answer questions and resolve issues.

Computer skills: Ability to use a variety of computer skills, including typing, navigating and using software and a variety of computer programs, including spreadsheets, databases and word processing programs.

Problem-solving: Ability to work with incomplete data and to find ways to fill in the gaps. Ability to find the source of the data, find the correct data or find ways to make existing data they have usable.
